With your generous donations, Carbon Covenant, a program of Interfaith Power & Light, supports faith communities directly address the number one source of carbon emissions in the developing world: deforestation. They are protecting forests from illegal logging and poaching, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and reforesting degraded lands.

Learn more about the programs, see pictures of the work, find out how you can make a donation. Also learn about becoming a “sister congregation — which are based in the U.S. and provide financial support to their “sister congregations” overseas to carry out the reforestation and preservation work.

Carbon Covenant has partnered with Alliance for Religions and Conservation,
 GreenFaith, and
United Religions Initiative
to advance its mission of connecting congregations and individuals in the United States with international faith communities on the front lines of climate change.

Thank you for supporting Carbon Covenant.
